Wednesday Ramblings

After a crazy week of Easter dinner preparation, of course I woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose Sunday Morning. Ugh. To make matters worse, I am the biggest baby when it comes to being sick. Aside from complete discomfort my misery is not easily hidden and usually written all over my red-nosed face. Despite my tendencies to wear my emotions on my sleeve, I did my best to host a fabulous meal and pretend it did not hurt to swallow each and every bite!

I did not get to take many pics but I did think this idea was super-cute. This mini-ferris-wheel is meant to hold different types of dips. I substituted for a little Easter grass, topped with assorted candies! (Mom's idea!)





Last week I received a ridiculous notice in the mail from my association telling me I needed to remove my small cooler from my deck, as it was violating section 456-whatever. As you can imagine, I was not pleased as I feel there are much more pressing issues in my neighborhood such as the huge mounds of dog poop EVERYWHERE! Anyway, I decided Easter morning to plant some tulips in my front yard-another association no-no. If you ask my mom, she'll tell you I'm a bit of a radical. If you ask me, I will tell you that I am just a girl who thinks that if a rule is dumb, why should I have to follow it? DP thought this was hysterical and decided to take pictures of me in the act. It wasn't so much funny that I was rebelling against our association, but more so the fact that I was using a sterling silver ice scoop as my gardening shovel :)





I am recovering nicely from the horrible, fatal sickness (common cold) I had and am finally getting to enjoy this nice weather! I think I will take Nikki for a walk, put my cooler back on my deck and enjoy a beverage!
