HOT or NOT



Now that I have some experience in a district other than Isle 12, I have been trying to think of a unique way to express the comparison between the two. The following HOT/NOT list will most likely only be amusing to my Isle 12 girls and fellow teachers. It may be difficult for anyone else to appreciate it. Colleen, you asked that I not forget about you! This is for YOU!

HOT:
Union Meetings at Country Clubs

NOT:

Union meetings in dive-bars where people were shot and killed the night before.

HOT:
Windows in your school

NOT:

Doors in your school that say "Shopping Cart Entrance"

HOT:
Janitors

NOT:

Mopping your own classroom

HOT:
A Teacher Supply Closet

NOT:
Dropping a grand at the teacher store on paper and pens for your students

HOT:
Teachers who teach

NOT:

Teachers who twist students nipples as classroom management (and get away with it)

HOT:
Curriculum Guides

NOT:

Making Sh*t up as you go

HOT:
Administration with credentials

NOT:

Teachers who start as janitors, get fired and somehow end up as vice principal the following year

HOT:

Bells that dismiss students

NOT:
Walking 14-year-olds in a straight line, in silence, to lunch

HOT:
Kids that ask if you have any pets

NOT:

Kids that ask if you have any family members in a gang
