Marco

Polo! Seriously, I’m so glad you found me amidst my crazy month of getting married, honeymooning, moving, painting, Christmas-ing, etc. It has been one heck of a ride but I have missed isle12 and above all my first true love: writing! For those of you still following, as promised, I will try to begin writing (+ pics of course!) about the many fabulous details of 12-04-09!

If you think my tone is more upbeat than usual, it’s because I have had a glorious 12 days off from work and have kept quite busy decorating the new house, spending time with the new hubby and even throwing a casual dinner party or two! (Seriously, I could kill whoever said women should get out of the home and go to work. I feel perfectly liberated picking out decorative pillows and making lunch for my husband with napkin-notes.)

Yup, I am pretty sure there is only one day worse than the Sunday before returning to work after winter break and that would be the day after my wedding. I mean it. You spend this year of your life obsessing over too much greenery in a centerpiece, chair covers and cake toppers and then… it’s over. Don’t get me wrong, the day was completely magical. It was filled with love and laughter and enchantment, but I can’t help feeling sad when I look back on our day. Maybe spilling a few details will make me feel better!
