Today marks ten wonderful months of marriage for DP and I. Although I have nothing but fond memories of the most amazing day of my life, sometimes I can't help but feel a little sad when thinking about our wedding day. Yes, sad.

You might think I'm crazy but many PWBs (post-wedding brides) would agree that being a bride can mean being in an alternate universe for at least a year of your life. And when the wedding is over, it's a bit of challenge to return to Earth.
I mean, what did I watch on television before "Say Yes to the Dress?" and "Bridezilla?" Did I read anything without a bride on the cover? Will I ever look at flowers again without wondering if I want to use them in my bouquet?
At this time last year I was happily filling my days with dress fittings, hair trials and cake tastings. I spent so much time wanting the big day to arrive. Now, all I can think about is how it's over, and how I'll never be a bride again. **Sigh**

Just look at me. Will I ever be THIS excited again?
So, listen up my fellow PWBs because here's the plan to get us through this ridiculous (but totally devastating) phase of our lives.
1. Have a cocktail party with some fellow brides and cram yourselves into those killer wedding dresses (and shoes!) you've packed away. Slap on that veil. Drink your wedding day signature drinks, look at wedding day pictures and dish all the deets on your fave wedding day moments.
2. Talk to your photographer about a "Trash the Dress" photo shoot. Have you heard about these? PWBs everywhere are getting back in that dress and getting dirty! Okay, so you don't have to pour ketchup down the front of that gorgeous gown, but you can totally take some more carefree pictures of you and your husband that are less formal and more fun!

3. Start planning another event-- a housewarming party, a weekend getaway, etc. Keep busy. After the wedding, I planned a surprise birthday party for the hubsters. It kept me busy and looking forward to something.
4. Become obsessed with decorating your house. (This one worked for me in case you were curious)
Hope this helps!
