Monday.

So it's not my favorite day of the week. I SHOULD be at the gym right now but I just got back from taking Nikki to our old Vet in my hometown, an hour away. I'm feeling very exhausted from an eventful weekend and emotionally drained from worrying about my poor doggie!

A couple of months ago we discovered a small lump by Nikki's tail. Our new vet wanted to operate right away and charge me $600 big ONES! I decided to take her down to her old doctor and get a second opinion. They took some cells from the lump and told me they would call me if they found anything abnormal. I told them if anything is wrong with her they will have to call my husband because I will just about die!

This past weekend was a huge success! I had a small surprise party for DP. See below for DP's candle-blowout action shot!



I tricked DP by taking him out to dinner while my fabulous friends drove two hours from New York to set up for the party! Here we are posing in front of a funny baby picture of DP that I blew up and glued to poster board!





When we got home from dinner- SURPRISE!! All of DP's friends were at our house to greet him. He was so surprised. I had been working really hard to keep things a secret. It was pretty hard to hide two cases of beer, a vegetable tray and a cake but I managed somehow. DP keeps talking about how much fun he had. I am pretty much the most fabulous wife EVER. Just ask me, I'll tell you :)

This week I will begin my first math project with 7th graders, get my hair cut, attempt to get rid of the after-party smell, and find out the results of Nikki's lab test! Stay tuned!
