The Dress!

I have to admit I am not one of those brides who tried on a dress and just got that "feeling" when putting a dress on. My mom and I visited two bridal shops on rainy April afternoon and after countless dresses, this happened to be the last dress I tried on. I had many nights of second guessing but when it came down to it, it wasn't until I had it on that day that I felt absolutely perfect!

I knew I wanted something a little different. I am not a beading, sequin or glitzy kind of gal so I thought the white gardenias were the perfect alternative. The top of the dress was pleated strapless with a slight sweetheart neckline.

The dress is by Alfred Sung, from his Pure collection. I purchased the dress from Tesi Bridal Boutique in Ventnor, New Jersey and had an absolutely magical experience with Tesi and her staff! She affectionately referred to me as her "Sex in the City" Bride and I feel like this may be the greatest compliment EVER! It may be due to the fact that I wore a giant feather in my hair! Not quite a bird but close enough!
